Does anyone have a video of them playing their Jackson Firebird? Can't find any on YT.

Where did the white one end up? And which did you get back?

By request...here's an oldie but a goody. J1045. Built solid like a Tiger tank. BIG neck profile for big hands.

That's such a cool guitar Curt - just awesome! I had no idea the paint was that worn on the back of the neck, but I guess that was because it was just primered right?

Thanks man....one of a kind with tons of history for sure.

Correct, left the factory primer only and the artwork was added later by Robbin's friend, Tattoo artist Marc Rude.

No...but you can get it with a blown motor at any junkyard.

Anyways back to the real context of this thread...comedy hour is done I guess.

'Redface'....Built for Robbin Crosby of RATT during the 'Dancing Undercover' Tour in 1986. Robbin had broken (headstocks) several of his guitars on this tour and Grover Jackson built this guitar VERY quickly and rushed it out to him on the road. It was not stamped with a serial number. Hence the name 'Redface' coined by Jackson collector Rob Witte, from whom I acquired this guitar in the year 2000.

No real 'reason' for the extra rout on the back but....at the same time Grover was building him a Black H-S-S Firefird (J2717) which featured this same back routing config. Mahogany Wings with maple center = a really BRIGHT tone.

EXTREMELY RARE one piece maple neck...no scarf joint! An incredible waste of wood but super strong. Also note...RIGHT handed Jackson-branded Gotoh tuners on a reverse headstock. Lefty tuners were not available at this time.
