  • $1400 a good price for a KE-2 second hand?

    Found this on Craigslist
    http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/msg/477007135.html

I'm not sure how old it is, but it looks pretty old in that picture.
I was gonna try to get either an RR 24, or an Edwards Alexi Laiho model off ebay, but I've always really wanted to get a kelly and just lacked the cash.
    What do you guys think?

it is indeed a nice one from the pic. some better ones would help. can't tell the age, $1400 ain't too bad if the guitar is minty.
"slappy, slappy" bill sings, happily, as he dick slaps random people on the streets of Cleveland.

+1....But I'd offer $1250 maybe? Being craigslist, you can sometime tempt the seller with a lowball offer. There's just something about showing up with ca$h!!

        Not $1400.00, but maybe $1100.00...

About two years ago I bought a KE-2 for $900 and the guitar was very close to Mint.

Sweet Classifieds swerve! Never seen that before...

Good luck with that. Seeing as you can call MZ and buy a new one for $1450....

Someone was trying to move a Mahogany around here, and barely got $1100 for it.

That price ain't a steal, but there don't seem to be too many USA Jacksons here in Vancouver, and it's cheaper than buying one in the US and then paying taxes when you bring it across the boarder.

I echo the other guys and suggest a lower offer though....
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

It's impossible to tell the age from that pic, but I'd say $1400 is an OK deal. It's not great, but you could certainly do worse.

Thanks a lot guys. Someone jumped on it and got his email in 10 minutes before I did. I'm gonna keep looking for a KE 2 second hand and try bargaining the price down to 1200.
Does the Music Zoo ship to Vancouver?
                      thanks
