  • Going rate for used KE2?

I've got my eye on a mint (looks brand new) KE2 in trans-red.

I know used pricing is subjective, but I don't want to get screwed.

Current asking price is $1200, and I think it might be slightly negotiable. To me, this seems reasonable, but I'll defer to the experts.

    Thanks!

P.S. For some reason the search function is only returning blank pages to me, so I apologize if this has been recently discussed.

Always get the ser # dude. It could be 1 year old, or 7.

I'm receiving a psychic message...yes...the serial # of this Kelly is....

      U08942

which is one of the very last 2000s

So, if the seller is not hip to what's happening with newer Jacksons, you can go, "Hmmm, well, it is 7 years old, and built in an old factory"

but if he IS, however, he could say "Nyah, Pre Fender!" heh

I myself haven't followed eBay pricing, but go ahead and offer a grand cash, see what happens.

A grand or less is a good deal on a USA Kelly (as in you better buy it and run ).

I was a dumb-ass and didn't buy a Kelly Pro neck thru for $400 (asking price at a guitar show) I really regret not getting that guitar, bt I wasn't into the Kelly like I am now.

1200$ for a Kelly is cheap. Nothing more to say about that.

I bought one locally for a friend for $1000 last year. It was trans black, a little on the older side, and had a couple dings (nothing serious though). $1200 for a mint KE2 is definitely reasonable IMHO.

$1200 for a mint trans-color KE2 is good (considering a new one is a thousand more) but try to offer a grand, which would be a really good deal.

Cash in hand usually tends to be hard to say no to.
