So can you tell us, what's Custom about the Eerie Dess Dinky? (Apart from the bridge pickup)

Re: Hey take a look at my guitar family!

Years ago the USA models with ebony and fins were the "Custom" models, and the ones with rosewood and dot inlays were "Student" (much like the difference between Gisbon's LP/SG "Custom" and "Standard").

However, those designations haven't been used since 1989.

Then again, I don't recall if the early 90s Dinkys (note the single routes) had 2 or 3 knobs

Also looks like the switch angle may be different

That was my first "real" guitar, it's about 12 years old. She plays wonderfully, the DiMarzio's HS3 are great pickups, not really hot, but smooth and with A LOT of definition...

The Dinky Custom was pictured in the 1994/1995 Jackson Catalog. Essentially, was a bolt-on version of the Usa Soloist of the time, and featured a Floyd Rose, a Bill Lawrence L500XL in the bridge (at that time every usa Dinky, Soloist and RR mounted Bill Lawrence's pickups) and two Jackson's single coil, with a volume, a tone and a 5 blade switch. The replacing of the stock neck pickup with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails was the only customization I've done to that wonderful guitar!
