  • Any Jackson endorsers record with Jackson pickups?

I hope I'm posting this question in the right section. I'm curious as to whether any of the Jackson endorsers in the late '80's, possibly early '90's, ever used the stock Jackson pickups (i.e. the J-90/90C, J-80/80C, etc.) If so, are there any CD's you could point me to?

It seems like "everyone" was using DiMarzio, SD, EMG, etc. back in the day, I was interested to see if anyone was actually stock Jackson pickups.

    I don't know.

The only Jackson pickups I would ever think to record with would be a hot J50C (some seem really hot, and other seem really mild... go figure) and the J95. Some of the other pickups sound good, but I would rather have an EMG...

Geoffe Thorpe of Viscious Rumors used a stock 1990 USA Rhoads with a pair of J-50's and active mid boost circuit to record at least two records. I have pics of him live with this unmodded guitar as well. Robbin Crosby also liked the stock Jacksons and said that in the Rob Lane interview. Not sure if he recorded with that set up though.
