• USA Black & White "Crosby" Dragon Dinky

Got this one from FirebirdV (Chris) a couple of weeks ago, and it's a killer

Fender single coils and a Duncan Pearly Gates. Some body wear (ding to the wood) but nothing major. Definitely a killer USA Jackson

The Pearly Gates sounds a bit like the Distortion to me, with a little more grit/rasp. I like it!

Ron - you wanna see dark ebony, you gotta see my LPC (the beat-to-shit one I got off Ebay) - no shit, it's as black as Sully's soul

Seriously, see the JCF background color? It's darker than that

Could it be that Newc has FINALLY taken a full-guitar photographic shot? The apocalypse is surely upon is now.

Damn, that is a fine guitar. I'm surprised you thought the Pearly Gates pickup sounded a bit like the Distortion. I've never had one to compare to (my Shannon has Hot Rails and a Super 3), but from what I hear, it's a pretty low-output pickup but with a wicked classic-voiced sound.

And thanks to Newc for another great transaction too. I am glad it went to someone that really loves dragon graphics and not to mention a great playing guitar. Props to my buddy Jim and my brother too for helping me get it back to snuff!

Congrats Newc. The white pick-up bobbins look perfect for that graphic.

                    Thanks

NOTP - Yes, I DO take full-body shots on occasion, but then again you've gotta be a complete fucknut to not know what a Jackson headstock looks like

Actually, since I'm not selling it, I decided to skip the "porn shots" closeups

Re: USA Black & White "Crosby" Dragon Dinky

For what logical reason? Reassurance that the neck hasn't been sawn in half in some half-assed Magic trick attempt, or is it some perverted desire to see something long, pointy, and hard?
Obviously if it's a non-standard Jackson head like the harpoon or a reverse head, it's a given that there should be a pic of it, but in reality the standard Jackson head is common enough that one should feel safe in assuming that an unseen headstock is indeed the standard Jackson head.

That's probably the first time I've really liked the look of white pickups on a Jackson. Very cool.

When I got it off of ebay it had black pickups in it but after my guitar tech Jim did the fix up on the route for the neck and bridge pickup I decided to throw the Fenders in it because they sounded so nice and they had the traditional side out tab on them. I had put the white covers on just to see what it would look like and it looked so good I put the white PG in it too. The pickups really compliment each others tones. I get first dibs back at it if Newc ever decides to sell it off!
