I've already bought a used RR1, Made In USA (it says in headstock).
Specs:
22 Frets
Ebony fretboard w/pealr triangle inlays
Neck Thru w/binding
Black paint (also in neck back), black hardware
Schaller Germany Floyd Rose w/ Jackson stamp
2 EMG´s: 81 for shure at bridge and H model (the single in humbucker housing) at neck I supose for it´s strat sound)
Serial is the quizz: RR3889. Oficial data says neck thru serials are up to 2***. Others may be cunstom. Can anybody tell me something about this guitar??

Re: Help on Rohads Serial

The last posted serial ## on the resources for the RR model is a 2001 Ontario ##RR2861- with no end.

It is probably around 2002ish or so.

Of course, I could also be totally wrong

When it comes to MR. RHOADS you have to be FLAWLESS around here.

Dude...relax...if you can't handle good natured ribbing...maybe you shouldn't be here

Randy Rhoads is held in very high regards here on this board...he is a part of our youth, our influences, our guitar desires. In short, he is an idol which we all hope to emulate on our instruments, or simply listen to his genius with Quiet Riot and Ozzy.

No, I don't always spell everything correctly, but I take it when I get corrected

I don't think the # RR3889 is legit.
I don't think that they made that many custom Rhoads from 01 till now.

Re: Help on Rohads Serial

Well over the last 18 years they've averaged 214 per year, some years being really high, some producting only a couple dozen.

If they kept to their averages, it would probably be a late 2003 or early 2004.

Re: Help on Rohads Serial

If you look from 1991 on, when only custom shop axes had the RR designation, you see they consistantly build about 20 customs a year.
2000 ended with RR2860.
From 91-00 they made 195 Custom RRs.
I don't think taht they suddenly made 1,000 customs in 3 years.(01-03)
Please check your serial # again.
It's not making sense.
Unless they got sloppy and used a 3 rather than a 2.
