jackson J90C (maybe it was the J80C, i forget) is my favorite pickup, recently pushed the Duncan JB out of my number 1 spot.

even the J50C is good, sounds very similar, just not as hot as the 90.

The J200 is a sc-sized stacked humbucker, and sounds very muddy.

The J200R however has exposed rails like a Hot Rail and I just love this pickup.

The J85 is a great Jackson humbucker in standard packaging.

I just got an RR1 and found the pickups to be a J80 and J90C. It has a preamp on board, so you can't hear the pickups passively (without the battery).

When you guys talk about these and liking them, it that passively, or with the Jackson Booster?

I take it I should keep this guitar as is? I was thinking of getting EMG's for it.

        Thanks,

        Don

My Model 2 has a J90C. It sounds great through my Marshall, but not so hot across the POD. The EMG's in the Fusion really shine through the POD.

By the way.... a J90C will give you about 20-25% more output and "oomph" if you remove the cover. Mine did. Just gently pry it off and try to remove the white glue that held it on. Good luck with that. Mine still has a couple of glue spots on top.
