Marty's sig on the HS was only on the KE-1's which were the smaller bodied Kelly's, 1 Vol, 1 hum, Kahler non trem etc....and for the special run Musician's Friend did years back...metallic black smaller body, same specs except original Floyd and all gold hardware, special serial and signed by marty on the body...limited to under 100 pieces. These matched a special run of Dave Mustaine KV's with the same features and sig. but with orig. Floyd as well.
I've seen the KE-1's and KE-1F's available in white, black, transparent black, silver burst...

Toejam, you're right, they began with the king kelly, then the smaller kelly came in 80's to present and Marty's extra small Kelly was the KE-1. I'm fairly positive the KE-2's are the same middle sized Kelly from the 80's and not the extra small ones like Marty's...or the king sized.

Hmm. I always thought all the newer Kelly bodies were small like Marty's and not medium. Anyone got pics of a KE-2 or KE-3 together with a KE-1 to compare? I wonder what size my '96 Kelly XLR is?

nice score dm...cool singl hum...funky volume position but nonetheless...very cool..I'm with you on the Floyds...I only have one non-floyd guitar and wont ever get another one unless its a 3 pickup les paul black beauty.

the weird thing about this one, i recently played a ke-2...nice guitar trans-black...had problems with the upper fret access, felt really small up there...this one i don't have that problem?!?...and this one is a lot heavier...that's why i said she feels "different"...hmmmm....d.m.
btw...shawn, as of monday all of my guitars have floyds or variations: jackson floyd, schaller floyd, one even has an ibanez edge on it...lol...

I have a Ke1 and 2 KE2's and they are exactly the same size guys???/ They are all built in the 90's. They are all the same sizze body.

Joel, aren't all Kelly guitars nowadays the smaller "Dinky" body? There was the original King Kelly, another smaller version of the Kelly, and then Marty wanted his a little smaller... and that's the one I think has been in production for quite a long time now for all Kellies. Yeah. my Ke1 is my fav Kelly too. Congrats again! And if you ever want to sell it let me know. How did that strat neck work out for you? I love the Reverse neck I trade with you. feels great!
