    You might be able to make out the shape of the stud in this pic of my `86 Dimas.

        shreddermon...what year is yours. thats cool how it doesnt have the rounded bottom on the single coil routes. i also think the dots look great, I like to see as much of the wood as possible & would luv to find a SanDimas soloist with NO inlays

          Yeah, my SD Solist does NOT have a fat neck, it's got, as someone described, a "flat spot" neck, and next to my '95 Custom Warrior, the thinnest neck I've felt on a Jackson.

          Much thinner than a "Speed Neck".

          Very flat and thin. Almost too thin, especially seeing how my favorite player is an '89 Strathead Jackson (yes I eat my words about Stratheads)... it plays like a dream.
