  • Need help swapping middle pick up in Jackson PC1

So I bought a DiMarzio Fast Track 1 to replace my middle HS3 pickup. I own a 2017 Jackson PC1 and when I opened up the back cover man was I surprised at how clean and organized it was inside.

I did notice that the pickups are all connected to the PCB board without soldering.

Just like in a computer the wires are connected with plastic connector things (I have no idea what they are called) so basically its just plug and play.

The new Fast Track pickup doesn't have this plastic end piece.

I'd like to know if it's easy to put one on and if anyone knows the right size I should buy.
Again, these are small plastic end pieces that you normally see inside of a computer where the wire connects to the motherboard.

I can't help with the connector size I'm afraid, but you can just cut the wires and solder the new pickup to the wire stubs that have the connector on them..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

You can either do as Neilli stated or purchase a 2.54mm female pitch pin header connector (2 pin).

They are are pretty easy to attach to the cable ends.

        Dude! Thank you SO MUCH!

Sorry, for the late response. I totally forgot I had posted this question here and have been busy with Taxes, work and well...life in general.

I can't wait to get the part and swap out the middle pickup~

I saw the new limited (30 ever made) Jackson Claro Walnut PC1 which retails for $8k I was seriously thinking about selling my new Jackson PC1 (keeping my signed Jackson PC1 which I will take with me to my grave) and getting it since I just finished paying off the car. Then I realized that's still nuts.

I really want to try out Phil's new custom signature DiMarzio DP427 which I believe Phil called it "Audio Lava" against the Super Distortion 3. I hope they make it available for us consumers soon.

          You're welcome.
Yeah that walnut PC1 is nice looking, but the price is insane.
Hopefully DiMarzio will release his new pickup later this year. Curious to try one out.

I got the DiMarzio Fast Track 1 installed a few weeks ago and have to say I like it better than the HS2 when combined with the bridge or neck. It's a bit warmer but it cuts the high end harshness when paired with the bridge pickup if you have the gain way up on your amp. All in all this was a really cool upgrade and it taught me a lot about how much guitar works.

I'd love to try Phil's signature "Sugar Chakra" pickup but unfortunately, it's a hot rails type single coil pup. I just own 2 PC1s...maybe in the future I'll invest in a Fender guitar and get this pickup.
