Someone swapped the neck. Those had rosewood (or was it ebony) with Limited written in the inlay at the 12th fret. They were originally supposed to be 12-string bodies with that cut-out on the bottom.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
Very few pieces of those arrived also here in Italy at the time, probably we could count on one hand the exact number of pieces here.
I had the opportunity to try it in a store (it's been in the half of the nineties.... ...I've just realized that I'm no longer young)
I seem to remember great playability, scalloped fingerboard in the last frets (19th-24th...??..), the thing that I didn't like was the bridge pickup, changed with a Duncan Parallel Axis, and the look, too much "eighties" with also that sort of "excavation" in the body.
At the time I was looking for a Soloist...I tried that one, the price was honest but I wasn't really interested.
