  • NGD: King V

This just showed up today so haven't had a lot of time to play it. Pretty simple specs but the highlights are:

    Masterbuilt KV
    • 27" scale baritone
    • Schaller Hannes bridge
    • Limba neck and body

Now to go have some fun with it

Wicked. We don't see enough Jacksons without a Floyd in my opinion.
I'd love to have those Hannes on all my TOM guitars, but after pricing them + installation costs I changed my mind.
    Maybe someday.

Is that logo an option on the order form?
    96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

Sweet! Your other Custom V has the Hannes, too, doesn't it?
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Cool! I dig the logo. What pickup you have in it? What is the tuning you use?

The guitar is Masterbuilt so I requested if they could use the gothic logo.

After Sully built me a 624 wtih a Hannes, I have been hooked on the bridge.

Yes, the green/purple KV has a Hannes. I believe these are the first and maybe only KV's with hannes bridges

It's currently tuned to B and the current pickup is a JB-5 but thinking of swapping to a Lundgren M6.

              " It's currently tuned to B"

Dam we could jam, me using my 12 string baritone. Oh the lows and thump

              Nice King man

JB-5? What is that? Or did you mean JB or Custom?

What's the draw of the Hannes? The feel mostly?

It's just what normally comes in a King V and I am calling it wrong.

Just checked the order sheet and I am totally wrong - Seymour Duncan TB4 BLK JEFF BECK

Probably swapping to the Lundgren M6 here after a month or so.

SH-4 is the JB, SH-5 is the Custom. I hate the JB but I quite like the SH-5.

Yes I would change that JB to something else too. Or do magnet swap.

That's why I'd want one. They look very comfy.

They are comfy and are pretty simple to maintain/change strings on.
