  • Mahogany on jackson usa select models

    Hi guys just wonder if anybody who is able to tell what kind of mahogany is jackson using on their made in usa "select" ?

    Honduran or africian or others ?

    With the wood issues going on with the gov., I doubt it is anything exotic and if it is, it will be duly noted, believe me. $$$$

      From my quote from jackson. They named it genuine mahogany. So it should not be african one. But that is custom select.

        I gotta natural sl2h mah and i did a comparison from the pictures i found from web and it closely resembles a honduran mahogany.. ! Well such a well played guitar with nice tones on it... love it !

        The SL2H mah is one of a better sounding soloist i guess...

            The mahogany version makes the soloist a better toneful guitar but thats strictly my opinion....
