  • NGD approaching - soloist archtop 27 fret!

This one should be arriving early next week for evaluation - will I bond with it ? I don't know yet, but I have an open mind
I'm equally fond of painted instruments but something is very cool about showing off a guitar's beautiful woods and it's construction ..
Like, IMHO I feel it would be a shame to paint this one in "green army drab..", etc, etc..
Still trying to get some details from Jackson about this NOS beauty - including details like if it has ss frets and validating that it has a nitro finish.

how do you get the full size images to show in your posts?

    thanks

Man, that looks great! Is that a swamp ash body with walnut/maple neck?

Man, that top looks like a sunset.

      Seven piece multi-ply neck?

(although it seems it should be MAPLE and walnut for strength..)

I just got it - going to to unbox when I have time tonight.

Nice. I look forward to more pics! It's a laminated neck anyway, so it will be pretty stable no matter what woods.

That's a very cool one. And, yeah, a multi-piece neck like that should be rock solid.

That is very, very cool. I love so many specs on it. Congrats!

Reminds me of a Hamer californian with the slanted pickup and 27 frets...

My favourite of the carve/arch tops, nice one!

These seem to be making a resurgence as there were two similar models at this year's NAMM. The white one that was made 8~ years ago is also a sight to behold.

Looking forward to more pictures, enjoy.

That is killer... I had a WR1 with a very similar top that I really regret letting go of...
