So what's with the pickup color on the PC1 Shred?

The one at NAMM had white pickups.

Phil plays one with white pickups.



Yet the ones reaching stores have black pickups.

That's pretty interesting putting the DiMarzio Chopper in the same neck humbucker routing as the Jackson Sustainer. I still imagine the guitar counts as HSS since the Sustainer is its own pickup. So really, this guitar has two neck pickups adjacent to each other.

LOL Might have looked OK if the bridge pickup had been a zebra, but yeah, the white/white/black look doesn't do it any favours..

What's up with the bridge pickup? Specs say it's a Super Distortion, but those have hex poles. Looks like it's got an X2N.
