Yeah I don't understand why that isn't optional. Just like the fact a majority of les Paul's come with the pick guard installed. Just send it along why install it?

When did the 'no truss rod cover' option disappear?
They used to allow for no cover, they would even paint the cavity and the nut to match.

**or am I thinking of another brand

E-Mailed Jackson today to inquire about any info on my Soloists...spec sheet type data...nothing on '88 but did find out Red Snakeskin is a 2006 rather than 2005.

Wow, you're lucky you got anything. It's not that they don't have the earlier records, they just can't be bothered to look.

Ha! Ah well...it is what it is. I just thought I'd give it a shot.

In an unrelated comment; I was at my local Guitar Center (Englewood, CO) yesterday and they have a Custom Shop Master Build Deep Burgundy S/H Soloist w/unfinished neck and a "Ghost" Red "Jackson Logo at $1,399.99 and a Lightning Sky Rhodes V at $1,499.99...no idea what year they were but both very nice...if anyone is in the market.

That used to be my local store also. That black cherry Soloist looks nice. They also have a 'shattered glass' Rhoads that started at 2000 and is now in the 1300 range.

Is that what it's called; Black Cherry? It was really clean. I didn't have anyone pull down the Rhoads...though it was Lightning Sky. Both looked clean and I thought the prices were fair.
