  • 1989 Jackson Tiger Super Strat Dinky

I pickup a Jackson Tiger Custom. Ontario made 1989 Jackson Dinky. I opened up the electronics back plate. I would like to know if anyone would know what this 9V and pink shrink wrapped unit is. It has two mini switches on the front. Each mini swith has 3 positions. I do know that one is for the neck pickup and the other is for the bridge. I was curious if anyone knows what this is?

I don't know what it is, specifically.
But the pink stuff could simply be insulation to prevent the metal plate from touching the contacts.

And that 9v should be inserted vertically, not horizontally. Its more secure that way.

          Isn't that a sustainer neck p'up?
I would deem the extra switches pretty useless for switching p'ups if there's already a 3-way present

Looks like a Duncan Hot Stack.

That would explain the battery and the circuit board looks to be about the right size.

Ah, I see now. Definitely explains the extra switches and circuit board. I was thinking they had something to do with the Roland MIDI unit.
