  • Ke1 Marty Friedman is it worth for the price?

Need your advice. I´ve never seen a Jackson Ke1 Marty Friedman signature, don´t know the year nor the model. It has a Kahler bridge (without locking nuts) stays in tune? Includes original Charvel-Jackson hard case. The seller is asking $1270 USD, is it worth for the price?

I know the Kahlers on these are the fixed bridge versions

Do you mean, it´s not a floating bridge?

That's what he means. It's not a trem. Think of it as a hardtail with fine tuners.

They are fairly rare, especially in solid black. I'd say that price is OK - there's a quilt top on ebay right now, but for a decent amount more money. Though that'd likely hold value a little better..

Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

you might say it´s a cheap price or a fair price?

I think it's a fair price. Like Neilli said, you don't see too many of these for sale and the quilt top models will usually bring a higher price. I have a KE1 and the fixed bridge Kahler is very comfortable and holds a tune well.

Those are great guitars. I own one. I bought it here from a forum member in '05. I own 8 USA Jackson's so I've got some quality axe's to compare it to... I'd buy it. I paid $800 from a forum member here, best guitar purchase I've made as far as quality/price is concerned...

Dude, if I found that at that price, it would already be on its way to my house. That's a STEAL. Send me the link!

If you know it's a KE1, how do you not know the model? That's exactly the model it is. And, yes, that's a fair price.

These guitars are great players, I have a couple variants of the KE1 and they are among my favorites.

That one has a few chips it looks like, but not too bad.

I have a couple KE1 variants as well. Love them. Definitely worth the money if they're mint and real.
