  • jackson sl-1 question

Got an SL-1 with a neck problem. The trussrod turns with a sort of crackling noise and i can't get the neck straight. My luthier thinks there's something wrong with the trussrod so he wants to take a look at it.Now he heard that jackson uses expoxy glue to glue to fretboard to the neck. Can anyone verify this or did they use a different glue?

    Thanks

I assume that it's out of warranty? Whatever, it might be worth a call to the Jackson support centre..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Yes i think so,it's a 2001 model. Now i did send a mail to them to ask what glue they used but i didn't get a reply. And calling is a bit of a problem since i'm from Belgium.

        Unfortunately, this isn't uncommon...

        96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

How can the warranty be up? FMIC offers a lifetime warranty.
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

The lifetime warranty is only for the first owner:
