  • Sometimes I forget...

I don't play this one as often. Glow in the dark. Frankenstein. Just one powerful pickup, which makes it not built for anything other than all-out-balls-to-the-wall rock and*roll.*The 80's are over.

I play the other ones. I talk about this one, but I keep it tucked away.*
And then, last night, for some odd reason, I get it out.*

    Holy mother of Saint Lucia.
That is one damn fine piece of America craftsmanship. This is what a guitar should play like.*
I haven't been getting old and rusty. I have just been playing garbage (no offense to my friends in the manufacturing business). This thing is amazing!

I think my new excuse for not playing it is so I don't become spoiled. I would love to clone this thing so I could have color and electronic choices to make it more accessible to today's musical environment.*
But holy cow, I really forgot how nice it was.*

    Thank you Grover Jackson. \\nn//""

              +1000!
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

I don't get the hate for 80s axes. Some of the best playing guitars I own were made between 1984 and 1996. That's the reason I still own them - and not just talking Jackson/Charvel here! I still play the hell out of my 1990 made BC Rich Warlock.

I've had a few high end guitars from 2000s/2010s too which pale in comparison to those 80s guitars!

Over? Nothing is over till we say its over. Did we quit when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbour? You gotta love Animal House Anyway, there is nothing wrong with 80's, most of my guitars are 80's styled pointys and my band plays 80's hard rock covers And that GID Frankenstein Jackson is pure badass!

I guess you guys missed the Animal House reference? When John Belushi says "did we quit when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbour?" as Delta House was about to be closed down, someone said "Germans bombed Pearl Harbour?" to which the answer was "forget it he's on a roll". Delta House then proceeds to throw a Toga party
