  • I need your opinion!

Some of you might remember this one! It's been around for a while and I got my hands on it two years ago... Unfortunately it was a bit messed up when i got it - both from bad packaging but also from amateurs drilling holes and trying to do woodworks with a knife.

Anyway - this is what it looked like when I recieved it.

I haven't had the time or energy to deal with it before, but now I want to fix it. My goal was initially to make it "original" but it seems impossible to find out what it was like when it left the factory?
So I have some alternatives... And I have done some photoshoping.

Which one of these do you think is the "best"??? Or do you have some other (serious) ideas?

I'm looking forward to your opinions! I have a favourite of my own, but I won't tell which one...
And now I just have to find a good "painter"...

    Thanks!
    S.W.E.D.E.

Because of the paint job, those big black blobs detract from the look.
Go with the painted pickups, or the 1 black bridge pickup.
Maybe paint the neck pickup if you need one.

We can discuss knobs and switches after you choose the pickup configuration.

number 2, with a single metal dome volume knob. Actually, the painted covers on number 4 could work too - they seem fitting with the guitar's era.

I like the blade selector. It's a real point of difference from Gibson's Explorer. I like how it follows the horn too
