  • Dave Mustaine Jackson Firebird

I was wondering if anyone has any specs on this guitar, the bodywood I'd really like to know. Also, any detailed pictures would be great.

The Oxblood Firebird from the Trust video. There were actually four of them, from what I recall. I think they were mahogany bodies. I believe forum member XXX owns/owned two of them.

Yeah, I've heard there were 4 too. I had chance to buy on from a store in the UK for 1500 quid (about 2500) 8 years or so ago, but passed. I don't like that there's no step in the body..

        4 is correct.

        I handled/played 2 of the 4 in the past.

Mahogany body with a THICK maple cap because these were not stepped centers....they were archtops.

I could have had one for $1800 during the 'Great Rob Lane Fire Sale' back in 2000.

The LSR's are what they are, but I'd love to snag one regardless.

How was the fret access on it?

I think those are the coolest firebirds of all time but its weird seeing Dave play anything other than a King V.

No problem on upper fret access...similar to a Les

Does anyone have pictures of the back or know what the finish was on it?

As I recall, the backs were trans red. It's been a long time though...

Pretty sure that'd be a no.

The only person who might have them is Kevin Easton, but I doubt it... and if he did he probably wouldn't be allowed to release them without permission, seeing how all those pictures were property of Jackson.
