Haha, right. Regarding space-whatever, I think we are also jumping to conclusions. At most, that robot appears to be guilty of slipping her a roofie. Anything beyond that is speculation.

On-topic: I love all the transparent finishes. I think the wood is so beautiful and makes every guitar unique. I have two amber sunbursts and one chlorine and those are my most beautiful guitars.

I may be getting some money soon and Ive been seeing some killer prices on the US Jacksons lately. I think Im gonna get another USA instead of the new X series. Ive been looking at a trans blue for $1k and a trans green for $1200, but I bet I could find a trans green for $1k as well if I look hard enough. Ill have $2k to spend, I may get both.... Its gonna be difficult though, its gonna be a HIFTW deal. Im not quite sure Im completely comfortable with this quite yet though, Ive done it with trade/cash deals, but never a straight cash deal, Ill have to hide some of the old guitars too to make it look like I traded I think. Ill have to gradually sneak them into rotation and have them shipped to a friends house.
Anyhow, if there as dark in normal light as you guys are saying, then we may be ok and I may be cool with the chrome hardware too.

If anyone has any non-flash pics of either finish that would be cool.

Can't you just hide them at your rehersal space?

Thats the plan. Im also planning on keeping one in the case while shes home during the day, she never gets in them, she doesnt care enough about them to open the cases. She only cares about them when I spend money on them, and then its the bad kind of caring. Ive been having to reason with her about strings lately, but my GAS is killing me, I gotta feed it, unknown lies or not. Shes a great wife and mom, but she just thinks Im nuts when it comes to the guitars and amps.

I'll take some natural light pictures of my RR1T when I get home from work, but I'm not going to polish it up first or anything so they won't qualify as porn hehe.

I remember that one from when I posted the last thread about trans green and blue Soloists when I bought the BGF SL2H. That does look pretty dark, but then its in the flashes shadow in that pic.

Incidentally, the guy I traded the BGF to is still trying to sell it and has been since about 6 weeks after we traded, but he wants $2k for it and I know where theres a GGF for $1500.

Trans blue and trans green are both cool colors, but I'd go for the blue over the green.

i had a trans green SL-1 and hated it. i had a trans blue DK-1 and hated it. both were too dark to really see the figured wood. the green was a bit better for seeing the flame, but it was just boring. the blue was so dark that it may as well have been a solid color. i have seen the cabo finish in person and THAT is sweet!!!
                    GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

Here's my trans blue SLS without the flash. This is actually very close to how it looks in real life when not in bright direct light.

Dude, what the hells wrong with those Live wires??? Thanks for the pic. Btw, that seems like corrosion in that pic, maybe try some Brasso?

I have a trans blue SL1T. As others have said, that color looks different in person than in most pics. In low light, it is almost more of a green-ish blue. Other lighting it can look purple-ish. In very bright light, it looks about like what you see in most pics. Overall, if I could do over I'd probably go with natural. That and snow white are my favorites.

You can't really make it out in pics, but all the chrome hardware is actually pretty dull and "road worn" looking, so the funky Livewire covers blend in better on this guitar than on the EDS Kelly. Nothing works on them, I have tried.....

If you look at the darker spots where the room lights aren't being reflected, the guitar looks almost black there...that's what it looks like in low light. Can hardly make out the flame at all, much like MarkD said.

                                Try Daddy's Junky Music

Edit: Doesn't look like they have much in the line of USA Jacksons at the moment, but they are very much like MGR, so inventory always changing...
