That's awesome!! I remember when that was at Neal's, quite a while back if I recall. I had saved the pics he had up. It was the inspiration for my pointy star I made while working at Dean. It was supposed to be just like yours, but it went a little off course. It's in this thread http://www.jcfonline.com/threads/100...tar?highlight=

Nice score, surely a great looking guitar, as if Marty Friedman wanted to play a Star first instead of his KE1 signature model!... And now I wish he did.

Pointy Jacksons with fixed black Kahlers are extremely awesome. If only they still made fixed Kahlers in black! (I also wish Jackson would start making pickups again)

                Thanks Jani!

Here's my latest purchase - thanks Mark! I've wanted a San Dimas era neckthru Star since 2002 and finally was able to score one. During that time I've only ever seen two pop-up that were not owned by Chris Holmes - this one and an earlier eagle graphic star. There are more out there somewhere but these are as rare as it gets.

                You're welcome Jani!

                From my collection to yours!

                All guitars for sale.

                Cheers!

                Mark

                    I saw this thread...

Frggin' AWESOME score, congrats! That thing looks immaculate, all original?

@mottobur: What's that crazy pointy one at the top?
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone! The color is either midnite blue or cobalt blue. Not sure.

plon - that's very cool. Do you still have the old pics saved? Would love to see them.

I didn't really stop buying but I've bought some non-Jacksons like cheapo acoustics, two Gibsons and two Amfisounds. I wish I could stop buying though.
