  • Video presentation of Jackson Rhoads RR0849 (Chris Holmes)

I've wanted to do this for a long time and finally got around to it. Shows the history of the guitar in "fast food" format.

Has it been refin'd? Reason i ask is because I've seen Chris give that guitar some stick and that looks pretty clean.

Not since 1986. It's definately not clean. The lower wing has been busted around 89-90 and clued back on and there's a huge crack visible. Both wing tips are bare wood and considerably shorter than in 86. The graphic is great cause it hides pretty much everything - the guitar looks stunning in person. Luckily the neck is in good shape so playing-wise no issues apart from almost non-existent frets. The case is another story.

Awesome work, Jani. Short and exiting I didn't know he actually threw it to the ground (Donington).

Great job on that. You should team up with Sam Dunn and do a documentary on the lifespans of famous guitars hehe.

Chris is as active as ever in the music scene. He has done some projects and is currently also playing with WAS (Where Angels Suffer) which basically is WASP without Blackie. Chris also plays live with Big Ball Stars that is an Rock and Roll all-star band with members from other famous 80s groups and some guest stars like Billy Idol etc. Chris still plays his black Jackson RR and the Headless Children graphic pointy explorer. His "yellow shit" Star is still with him also. Some time ago I was putting him and Amfisound Guitars together and they created a neck-thru Megazone guitar that Chris has also been using a lot lately.

Awesome video! Like the details on the repairing/refinishing etc
Two guitars are better than one.
