It's the "sister" guitar to the SL2 that I had... USA made, but with the cheap tremolo, and no inlays.

$700 might be a little high.

It's still a USA-made guitar. Granted it's got import hardware, but as you may recall, those things are held on with screws, they're not permanently attached like the frets and paint.

However, it was discontinued for a reason - low popularity. "Rare" and "hard-to-find" doesn't always mean "great". A lot of times it means "unwanted" or "undesireable".

Not a bad axe, but not very popular.

I paid around $430 tax included last year for one. It has some chips on the back. I have seen them go for under 500 on ebay. It has the JT580LP when they were made by takeuchi, they're $180 new. Better then the current ones. They really just need a pot change since the pickups are USA. Great guitars.

Right on, that's a fine Dinky, change it how you want it guys. There are no Strat lines on that model, Twitch, it's Dinky all the way.
