Sweet! I've always wanted one of the Korina natural KV1s or KV2s. I have a KV1 made of Korina - but it's painted black. I like the Natural look. Congrats!

Very similar to my Korina Kelly. I LOVE Korina wood as it's the best toned wood IMHO and it's pretty light. Is your KV a "J" or "UO" serial model?

Mine is a J from 1993 that was part of a custom shop limited "run." The matching KV model to mine is supposedly for sale in Hawaii.

Hehe, it's pretty cold here too. I can't remember it being this cold for this long here, and there's no end in sight. But I shouldn't complain, compared to the winter you guys have, ours is nothing, so ... I guess green socks are appropriate

How does korina sound compared to say, mahogany? i've always wanted to get one of those.

All of my guitar friends bash the kelly for looking like a girly shape but the kelly is one of my favorite. especially when it has trans finishes. Seeing the large surface area on the Kelly as a figured wood makes it so sexy

its just about identical, korina is actually a species of mahogany from Africa? I believe, korina tends to be a bit more consistent (its more expensive than mahogany). good mahogany is great, but cheap mahogany sucks... pretty much all korina is great, and it should be at the cost.
