  • Anyone changed pickups in your PC1?

I am going to install a Screamin' Demon in my PC1 this weekend.

I am curious as to who else has changed any or all of the pickups and what you liked and of course disliked.

No such luck. Been way to busy with work to even pick up the PC1.

Hope to have some time this weekend.

I had a Screamin' Demon in a guitar and it had way too much treble so I swapped in a JB. I like the JB better for the particular guitar in question. The Screamin' Demon would work better in a guitar that doesn't have enough with treble. It's just my opinion--everyone has to decide for themselves.

I've done other pup swaps and the important thing to remember is what tone you are shooting for. If you want a heavily distorted tone you should have your amp and effects set up for it and then experiment with pups. The examples on Duncan's website don't help at all because the amp set up is too basic and not distorted enough for my tastes.

I've had my PC1 for about 6 months now and I am still not "feeling" the Dimarzio Super 3 in the bridge. I have a J90C sitting around unused, does anyone have any idea how that would sound in a PC1 given the body/neck wood?

P.S. sorry for the thread hijack.

                Pc1

The musician that I bought my PC1 from hated the original pickup since it would not cut through the mix. He installed an EVO1 and that was the ticket. This pickup rocks the PC1.
