  • Green crackle Soloist photographs

    Hello,

I recently bought my first USA Jackson, a Soloist from 1993 with nice green crackle finish.

Pictures were requested, so here they are in a gallery:

There are some other sweet guitars on the gallery as well, but I'm sure you know which one I'm talking about now.

    Two samples just in case:

I really love my DR3 but I'm forced to admit this Soloist strikes seriously harder with some riffs. On a gig I noticed it also looks very cool under UV light. Like a yellow web.

Very nice I love the green logo also . I do not think a MOP logo would have looked good .

The guitar is gorgeous! I am more curious how did you manage to make such great pictures though? This doesn't look like the cellphone camera pics most people use

                EMGs?
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Some of the best guitar photography I've seen in a long time. Very slick. Oh, and the guitar is great too. Thanks for posting the porn.

Funny, I was thinking the opposite....I would prefer a MOP logo on the headstock.

                          Beautiful axe, no doubt!

                            Thanks for you comments!

Yeah, a cellphone camera was not used this time. I first tried to photograph guitar myself but wasn't happy with results because I wasn't able control lightning conditions and I'm not too good photographer. I asked my friend to help and we went to a local bomb shelter with his proper gear and expertise. Nice to see you like results!

Pickups are active EMGs. From close-ups you can see the text though it is not very clearly visible because they look kind of worn. Can it be from pick scratches...? They work all right so no problem anyway. Btw. is there any easy way to identify which model are these? EMG 81 (and a 85 on neck?) is of course my first guess.

As you can see there is also many minor damages in lacquer and paintwork, but it just adds character.

                              G

EMG in gold letters = EMG85.
EMG in silver letters = EMG81

I don't see any letters on yours? You'll have to pull them and look underneath.
