Is this bass legit? Charvel Fusion 5?

After getting my Charvel Model 4, which is an outstanding instrument, I'm thinking of getting bass, and from Charvel/Jackson, of course Here's an auction that caught my eye:

What's weird about this bass is that
1) No Charvel / Jackson neck plate
2) All access neck joint - they had those back in 1989??
3) Charvel inlay on 12th fret?
4) Electronics layout corresponds to that of a Charvel Fusion 5...
5) Spaghetti / Toothpaste Charvel logo?


I looked around the forum and here is the thread that gave me the idea that it was a Charvel Fusion 5:

Still, I don't want to bid on something just on the information provided on one post (thor)... So could anybody please confirm if the bass in the above auction is legit? Thanks

LOOKS LEGIT TO ME! 89 was the first year for the toothpaste logo. i have been told these are killer basses, very light. rex from pantara played one if i'm not mistaken. the model series and early 90's import are as good in build quaility as usa made jacksons imo

I'm 2/3rds of the way there from getting the whole 5string pointy series.

I already have a white C5, now this Red E5, all I need now is a BLUE F5

see racer, that's what happens when you resurrect an old thread. I was wondering if the one they were talking about used to be owned by one of the JCF'ers, or if that F5 was still around and possibly for sale in the future.

my buddy was looking for fusion 5's and showed me this. ...lol I forgot when I got it off ebay, and now I know 6 years ago!!

And since then I did find my Fusion 5, but have never seen another Eliminator 5 anywhere except for the red one I have.
