Even missing the saddle and the arm..pick it up and sell it for parts. Pretty sure you could make your money and quick profit for very little effort on eBay.

A trem on a bass just seems kinda useless to me. I'm even starting to get sick of floyds on regular guitars. Tell your friend to buy a Jackson with a floyd so he can whammy in the privacy of his own home.
