  • Legit JACKSON Eliminator V?

    Greetings guys!
I've seen an ad from someone who is a selling a "1992 Jackson Professional Series Eliminator V"
Thing is, the bass doesn't have a neck plate, and the back of the headstock has no serial number
I won't test it until this weekend, but when I do, where should I look for the S/N?
    Does it look legit?
    The EMG pickups aren't stock

It's unlikely that someone would fake a MIJ bass. Looks real to me, just wondering about the rounded headstock tip from the back shot....

I know this thread is a couple months old and usually I post pretty quick but I never saw it ....
Yes it is real, the serial is stamped on the edge of the neck and the OEM pickups were Reflex junk because it was made for the UK market and was in the catalog.

      Did you get it?

I thought the Eliminator was the neckthrough with the "ledge line" carved into the body (the bass Dusty Hill used for the Eliminator tour)? This should be a Fusion, no?

no, all those eliminators and fusions are bolt on.
what IS funny is that in the catalog, johnny middleton is holding a Charvel FUSION, not a Jackson in an advertisement for a JACKSON, so why the hell did they even bother putting his picture on the page? :P

p.s. I do know a bit about eliminators and fusions

Ahh, ok. The Eliminator had the ledge, the Fusion didn't. I was thinking of Dusty's Collen Archtop bass that was neckthrough.

and the fusion has that beveled body. The Jackson UK eliminator has a different neck. The JAP Fusion5 has the dual rails.

I WISH I could find someone somewhere that has another 5string flattop eliminator like the one on the left in my picture...I have asked for a decade trying to get info on it, but nobody knows. Prototype, one-off, who knows.....
