  • Matt Marathon has his JPB9 on ebay :(

I guess he was not kidding when he told me he was selling off most of his stuff. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=300642042752 and the funny thing is I have known him since I first came onto this board, but he never mentioned his band too much. Well now he has a link to Landmine Marathon, and some jams on youtube that I saved for future viewing pleasure. NICE MATT!!! ( except for the el-scremo-singing )

I think they only made 100 jpb9's the 7's were common ( I had a burgundy one ), and the 8's were also nice but the 9's are the rare ones. they got in trouble because they copied a Marleax Consat << plenty of pics around so you can see.

Although I've never played a JPB 9, I Love my JPB 8 it has an awesome growl. Too bad you have to sell it Matt.

Hey Matt, I watched the video of your performance

                http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2noRT...e_gdata_player

                and I have a few questions & a comment:

-Q: I notice both shirts of you & the singer have designs which were intentionally blurred at times. What is on the these shirts, and why were they blurred?

-C: I noticed with great annoyance that during the solos, the cameraperson decided to cut away to the drummer, the singer, pretty much everywhere except on the guitarists' performance. It's really quite grating and rude, and it's something I have specifically commented upon many times here on the JCF. Q: Who filmed this? Q: Next time, can you request the cameraperson focus on the guitarists during the solo?

This is footage of the Scion Rockfest that took place in March of 2010 in Columbus OH. This was a free fest featuring 26 Bands at four venues, we played a venue with Cannibal Corpse, Voivod and DRI... because this was a Scion sponsored event, they shot all of the performances, because of any fears of licensing issues, they blurred most all branded and band shirts. I was wearing a shirt from a band called Despise You, and our vocalist was wearing a Morbid Angel shirt....

as the video and sound quality, I feel it was pretty good, unfortunately film editors are not always musicians and do not use the proper footage, I feel it is a classic heavy metal faux pas to cut away from the solo!!!

A side note, I love this bass yet rarely play it. I feel it should be in better and maybe more appreciative hands. Unfortunately heavy music does not always pay the bills. I consider myself very lucky to get to spend as much time on the road as I do (and a ton more in 2012, including Europe and Asia if all goes as planned!). When I liquidate gear, it is to put this back into my one passion. That is playing the music that I love with some of my best friends, and sharing that with music fans around the world. Seriously amazing!1
Thanks all! 2012 is gonna rage!!!
