Thats what Im thinking. It would probably be an amazing bass with a set of EMG 40 P/Js and a BQS preamp. My CMG is starting to grow on me.

too many people on talkbass already said they are good items. I only saw 1-2 people who did not like the sound, but that is easily changed like you said
