What is the best CHARVEL bass and why ?

Is 2b better than 1b, or 4b better than 3b ?
My personal opinion is that maybe 3b is the best because it is NT, but that's just my opinion. I also think that it is the hardest one to find these days (And the most expensive one, too)

no Andy there's a 3b or 5 on ebay monthly, never hard to find unless you are looking for a specific color...

personal opinion? I like all of them 1,2,3,4b. I play more on my 4b because I like preamps because the 3b is heavier.

overall, I have the 2b out of the case a lot more than the others, because I use a nice Washburn rack-pre to make up for the difference...

hey throbgod, as a sidenote since you've been on this board forever, about 2 years ago I traded Peabuddy my black 86 2b with the Kahler on it for his firecrackle 3b, so now I have that same one over here

and a couple more - the blackcherry is a 86, the red is a 87 bought from sanDimas85 and the crackle is his 88.

Are the Jacksons allowed in this or just Charvel? I like the 3b because its built like a tank and the quality and sound are great. I can only assume that the 850xl would be just as impressive as the 3b. On the Jackson side, the CMG is no slouch and holds it own. The Futura Pro is also dang impressive.

3 B by default,I haven't owned or played any of the others, but I would proably run into a burning building for my 3 B

I still like the 4b better cause they are lighter and to me, sound the same as my 3b's.

I do like preampped units, however my passive p/HB 2b is unique sounding, and so much I found another j-40 HB from an online store, and will install it on one of the units soon. If I use one of my 1b's I can use the stock trim ring ( I had to make a larger ring to cover the edges of the j-hole because without it, you could see the edge of the existing hole ) not that it was a terrible thing, but I got nit-picky.....

I always wondered what all those 1000.00 SanDimas 84-85- units sounded like with a HB at the bridge...well now I know and will soon drop a j2000 in THIS ONE ---
