Unfortunately that's a sad reality of the internet - people have something to sell and they want to advertise it. In the case of the JCF, where the Classifieds is exclusive to paying members and (IIRC) only visible to the same, people think there is no specific Selling/Buying section here. And no, they don't read the Terms of Service. No one ever does because it's long and boring and covers too much to hold any interest, especially for those who came here only to sell.

I still don't understand why people don't take it to Ebay first - do they think we don't go there?

Seriously, it starts with a post or two, then others see it wasn't pulled & they pile on...next thing you know you have 500 people at your party & it gets to the point that the cops can't ignore what you're up to even if they wanted to.
