  • I need a name for my new Charvel "mutt"

just because the guitarplayers have all kinds of "codes" for guitarmodels:

    DKMGH whatever, I really don't want to call this home-built a C2BKZX ( broken down means charvel-2b-kramer-zx70 )

    any suggestions?

I turned this plywood POS ZX70 from this:

to this since the original neck had frets that were toast: ( thank you Kramer for making the neck pocket the same ) and yes like a dork, I wound the strings on the pegs backwards

well the mutt is a LOT sexier with the "bigger Charvel horns" -- so that fits

            Welcome KBF first post

( I already know Ben from TB for a while ) - he has a fine collection of Kramers including a wedge. ( or whatever they call it like a Fender Katana )

I used RAQUEL at practice tonight, at loud volumes I had to adjust the EQ a little compared to my 4b I usually use, but a nice sounding passive bass mostly in part of the heavy poplar 2b body. All plywood basses including that zx70 resonate at a crappy frequency and makes them distorted.

so now I have a nice maple neck on a charvie that had to have the neck replaced or at least a fretjob anyway, so this was a bonus to find it for 65.00 for the whole guitar with a good mapleFB neck 2 good 500k pots and a emg select for something else.
AND because it was a straight up bolt on, I may use the kramer neck on my black body instead of this red one.

I did just lay the old charvel neck on the kramer body and here is what it looks like --tell me what you think of this combo?

                Thanks for the welcome!

I think that the Charvel neck looks not too bad on the Kramer Body.. why not bolt it on?

Not like you really have anything to loose... haha

that is true KBF, beat frets on that neck wont convince me to "play" it, but for looks, naw, not worth the waste of strings...

Hm, why not throw it up on a certain auction site to see how much it brings in?
