  • Musiciansfriend: WRMG $1,040.00 WHAT???

Ok, this has to be a mistake. $749 for a solid color or $1040.00 for trans black finish? Holy crap, that's nuts. I could never choose between transblack and "black forest" but if this price isn't a mix up, it looks like black forest green for me.

All Jacksons have gone up in price, because of the addition of a case for every one and I'm guessing cause Fender raised their prices 30%, they raised the prices of everything made by something they own. Or maybe Jacksons sell so well they decided to increase their prices...either way not a smart move, as now sales will slow.

It's at the point now where USA models are only a few hundred away from the price of an import in some cases, not a hard decision to go for a USA model at all.

I didn't see anything about an included case, but maybe i missed it. I just don't get why the trans black went up in price but the solid colors didn't.

For this price, a WR1 isn't much more.

If you want a better deal, you don't buy from MF who charges list price.

Hmmm, I think I'd actually go for a high end import jackson over the new Charvels. I love 1980's charvels, but the new USA models I've played feel strangely... alien in my hands. I think I'm the only one not into the new charvels.
