  • Jap Jackson Identification

Hi Guys could anybody help me find out more about my newly acquired Jackson. Serial number is 926487 which is displayed on a metal plate that bolts on the neck. The guitar is a metallic black colour in a dinky strat shape. Pickup config is H-S-S. It says Reflex on all the pickup covers and Professional on the headstock in front of a mother of pearl Jackson logo. It also has a Jackson licensed floydrose tremelo setup. Im especially interested in what year the guitar was made, and what model it is. All help is appreciated. I am sadly not allowed to post fotos. Thanks Dale

if you can have the pic hosted on a photo site (like photobucket, flickr, etc) you can post a pic here between [IMG] tags. Pics would definitely help identify it.

From the Reflex p/us, "Professional" on the h/s & the serial number, it's from the early 90s. Some more info & pics will hone it down, because right now it could be a Fusion or Dinky (or if the body is contoured, a Stealth)
    Hail yesterday

Yep vitameng the body is contoured, the fretboard is ebony and there is no inscription on the truss rod cover. The writing on the headstock is definatley pearloid but there are dot inlays on the fretboard not sharkies. Thx Dale

        Serial makes it a 1992.
Are the dots offset or standard?
        Could be a Stealth XL

Rick the dots are standard i think, dead centre in space between the frets. Dale

You Floyd locking nut blocks are facing the wrong way.

They should be facing up and down instead of sideways.

                        One last question

Guys is my Stealth xl one of the good early jap Jacksons that i keep reading about on the forum or is it still a cheapy / budget guitar. It does feel nice and well screwed together. Dale
