  • Rhoads with no pickguard and deep dish

I've been looking at what GC has in their used section and I found some model of an RR, but it has no pickguard and a deep dish. I've never seen one like this before. Any idea what it is?

The shape of that body doesn't look quite right. Looks like a fake.

That's what I think. Looks like you can still see the plate from the old jack on the bottom of the body.

Agreed. An angled cable would've fixed any concerns about the original jack placement.

I think Ron is right. The logo and headstock seem wrong..

Whatever it is, I'd stay away from it.

I have one that's identical apart from the fuckd up jack socket. Someone on here Id'd it as a possible early RX10D. Pups are crap but it plays well.

My money is on home made hack job. It's funny that he didn't put the jack plate on the rear cover.

I also think the bridge looks off as it looks like an ofr if it were an RX10D it would have angles missing in the trem route from the original trem unless it's a really old RX 10 with the jt500 did this have straight baseplates like the Schaller or ofr???

Some more detailed pics would be nice especially of the trem, jack/original jack location, and headstock...

I can't get any better pics, thats just off of guitar center's website.

I'm not thinking of buying it for myself, I just thought it seemed peculiar and wondered what it was. The fact that you guys can ID these like this is flabbergasting!
