  • Bond V inlay question?

Are the symbols on the Kevin Bond V inlays or stickers?
    Thanks.

Thanks for the info guys. MUCH appreciated. I was kinda hoping they were stickers that could be removed without leaving much of a trace that they were ever there. ..oh well.. back to the drawing board..lol.

If that was the case, I would have already gotten one long ago and posted my ecstatic joy all over this board.

Yeah, I like 'em too. But they're one of those "love 'em or loath ' em" inlays. Looks like a whole plastic plug rather than separate lines of "pearloid" or whatever. And "pagan" rather than "satanist" - but whatever floats your boat.

I thought they were made out of MOP.

                      Pretty shiny for plastic.

Actually, I thought I remembered reading that it was a plug.

I'll try to get pics of the insert, but my camera might not show it well enough - post later.

I haven't tried an RR to compare, but this guitar sounds awesome & plays really well. Nice neck, good finish - and a looker as well! I wasn't intending to buy another guitar, but I hadn't seen one of these before, walked into PJs (Portsmouth, UK) to pick up a guitar I was having set up, saw this & fell in love......the usual "boy meets guitar" story.

My inlays are different to the ones Dk1crazy posted (and his pics are much better!) - mine's a MIJ, but the green finish, rather than the red - thought they were all MIJ & had assumed the inlays were the same, but obviously not (sorry for the pic quality - light levels low & I had to use a flash):-
