  • A big "HeLLo" everyone

I stumble on this website when I bought a Jackson Soloist SL3. The SL3 was giving me tunning instability and I had a hard time figuring out where the fault lies. Coming from Singapore, it sure is hard to find a good reputable guitar tech to get my guitar checked. Thanks to this website, I was able to rectify my guitar floyd rose issue (read the tech Q&A thread) and set it up. Now it plays like a dream.

    Cheers,
    Matt

(I know the famous "this thread is useless without pics", so here it is)

Yeah, I definitely smell a pork product of some type.

Thanks for the warm welcomes guys. How's the brand Jackson doing from wherever part of the globe you may be? From my side, it is not popular and there isn't a local dealer at all (used to have two, that's where I got my guitar from). Ibanez, ESP/LTD, Fender/Squire and Gibson/Epiphone are a big hit in my country. Jackson/Charvel is real hard to find now, especially made in USA series.

I'll also like to find out which year my guitar is produce and whether it was made in Japan. The SL3 serial number is 030294. Please kindly assist...

I'm from Singapore as well, but I'm in Canada now for studies. I head back every summer or so.

I'm just planning to get all my guitar setup and stuff done here first. Besides, I'm sure there're a few decent local guitar techs - not many, but still.

Besides, there's always online shopping if you want to buy a Jackson. I got my Rhoads Pro here.
