  • MIJ Jackson seeking info on Rhoads

    I bought this a while back, and was just looking for some information on it, i did a search awhile back and all I found was that there was a short line of jacksons from japan that we're released with kent armstrong pickups schaller floyd and superior quality and weren't built for that long. could someone tell me alittle bit about my guitar ? btw I did swap the bridge with a bill lawrence l500xl cause i didnt know these were kent armstrongs until i took them out. help ?

    Does it say professional on the headstock? What's the serial number?

    I think it can be an rx10d or an early rr3...

        My bet is that it's a plain ol' RX10D that someone upgraded with better hardware and pickups. I've never seen that control layout on any other Rhoads. The Rhoads EX was similar, but had a 3-way blade switch.

        Btw, is the jack in the upper or lower wing?

          Weren't they called the AX/S series originally, and had the Armstrong pickups? Or maybe the "regular" X-series naming/numbering scheme was already in effect.

            Seems to have the JT-590 bridge so I would bet that its part of the "professional" line. Non-bound neck though....hmmm?
            Damn this is an expensive hobby.....

              seems like a jt-500 to me, because of the locking screws but that pictures are not clear enough
