Re: What about a brand new Japanese Charvel Dinky?

There's a '92 Dinky Fusion Pro MIJ that I've seen for £195, are these any good?

Fusion Pro is badass IF you like 24.75 scale. It is a higher quality guitar than anything else mentioned in this thread

I've never played that scale length before, what's the big difference?

It's a Les Paul scale. It's got a shorter neck, so there's less tension on the strings. It can be more comfortable. I had a Fusion SX and it was an "easy to play" guitar.

Yup. Stretches are a little easier on the short scale. You can look for Fusions (bolt-on, both Jackson and Charvel), Jackson Archtop Pro (neck-through) and Charvel 750XL (neck-through with non-recessed trem). The early 90's Jackson Warrior Pro also had the short scale.

I've found that the only thing I don't like about the short scale is the softer string tension, and that I had to use a little thicker strings with it.

Just realised this has a serial number starting with 92xxxx does this make it a 1999 model and NOT a 1992 as put in the ad?

There were no Fusions in 1999 that I know of. Post the link with pictures and people can better help you out

Sunbane, Isn't the Archtops and 750XL's, Set necks or deep set necks not real neck throughs?
