-22 fret RX10D
-White with black, red or silver bevels on the front only....or Black w/ white or red bevels.
-Sharkies
-OFR
-Neck/headstock binding
-1 humbucker, 1 vol knob, no pickguard

How does that sound?

How about an RR5 with 24 frets? They already make a Jackson Stars 24 fret Rhoads so it seems that would not be a stretch. [img]graemlins/idea2.gif[/img]

Yeah, Im gonna have to get creative with the Jackson guys and see if we cant meet half way somewhere.
But I know that No means no. LOL.
I think my rep is getting tired of me asking for things he keeps telling me no on... [img]graemlins/brow.gif[/img]

I will have to look further into all the Rhoads models and see for myself all the specs...

On another note, If the factory wont swap out the reg trem for an OFR, I can always do it myself. And since Im a Floyd dealer, I can get all the trems at dealer cost too.
I guess we can leave that option open for anyyone that wants to pay the extra cost of the OFR.
I would do the labor for free of course as long as there is no routing invloved.. Shouldnt be...

Those that dont mind having the lic floyd and wants to save a bit of $$ can keep the lic floyd on it...

Just some more options to keep open.

I guess it's because they have to route the neck pickup in a different place and change the neck pocket...too much modification for it to remain an import LE as opposed to a custom....

Actually, my reasoning is flawed....the JS30RR is 24 frets so the templates already exist for CNC routing a Rhoads body with the pickups in the proper position to accept a 24 fret neck....Damn bastards just don't want us to have a 24 fret Rhoads with sharkfins on a bound neck....

This is starting to sound good. Here's what I like so far:

-White with black bevels
-Single humbucker/volume knob(EMG81)
-Maple board w/black sharkies(possibly reversed)
-I think the option to choose OFR or not is an awesome idea

Does anyone think black neck and headstock binding would be a good idea?

I'm starting to save my money for this as we speak!

Im leaning on the White/Bk BVL idea too.
The plan is to have EMG's in it also...

Not sure I can pull off maple board or not..
I will be looking into more of this when I get back in town moday evening...

Ok, Im narrowing this down..
Finally got a chance to compare all specs on the current models of the Import Rhoads.

The RR3 and the RX10D both have floating trems Where as the RR5 does not.
All the import Rhoads have 22 frets so that what we get....
So I think if we narrow it down to the RR3 or the RX10D it would be a good starting point.

RR3: Rosewood board with reverse shark fins.
Front electroncis plate mount.
SCALE LENGTH 25.5”
WIDTH AT NUT 1-11/16”

RX10D Rosewood board wity regular shark fins..
Rear control cavity.
SCALE LENGTH 25.5”
WIDTH AT NUT 1-11/16”

Also, hardware color Im thinking is Black..

Matching headstock. thats the plan. (you werent referring to black bevels on the head were you?

I rekon if there was a White RR with a maple board, i woulld buy it in a second cause thats gota be the sexiest thing ever. If we got that, i'd be back in, even if it is only 22frets [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Well this is what I came up with. It has 24 frets but if that's definitely not possible the just imagine it with 22...

What do ya think? I think neck thru would be a plus!!!

i like the idea, although i cant say i like maple boards on this particular guitar, its great.

No pickguard
One volume control
EMG HZ pickup (bridge)
Matching headstock
Maple/rosewood board
black/chome hardware
