My favourite bridge pickup is the Duncan Distortion.
Pure aggression and balls.

Dunno, I just like it.

I'd vote for Bill Lawrence L-500XL. Hot as hell, tight chunky bottom end and it's quite cheap too considering the quality.

+1 on the Duncan Distortion. I also like the sound of a Duncan Jazz in the neck.

Keep in mind you don't want a high-gain pickup in the bridge with a high-gain amp - you'll get nothing but white noise from your amp due to oversaturation.

My favorite distortion sounds have all been created with low output pickups + high-gain amps.

(Or moderate output pickups with moderate gain amps.)

Best combination of clarity, sweetness, and balls IMHO

Of course, this type of sound may not necessarily suit your style of playing...

I bet you would love a Rio Grande BBQ Bucker in the bridge of that guitar. about 12.5K pickup and crunch out the wazoo!! Jack.

depends in which wood combination you're putting pu's. what sounds great in one combination in other may not

I think the Duncan Custom is pretty sweet. It has a nice chunky sound.
I haven't tried the Distortion but I've heard nothing but good things about it.

59 for the neck all the way!
