• Floyd Rose equivalent to JT580 LP?

    Hi,

Which Floyd Rose trems would be a direct replacement of the JT580 trem on a DK2?

    Thanks

The Floyd Rose Pro is the same thing

I've heard here that the Floyd Rose Pro has different post spacing(?). I know that an OFR will fit though.

Maybe I'm retarded...thought they were the same but I've never had one myself

OFR.... I think it might look weird in a JT580 rout, 'cause the baseplate looks different.

There was a thread about it a while back, a Floyd Rose Pro is the same sort of design, but the baseplate is centered differently and you have to route out more wood on the side of the cavity where the trem arm is in order for the trem to fit in there and be able to move around....Post spacing is the same though.

So is the OFR the only one that would fit without routing?

If routing is involved, then I might as well go for the SpeedLoader . . .
