EMG in DK2S?

I am wondering-Can I put an EMG 81 in a DK2S with the sustaniac pickup? Isn't the Sustaniac active as well?

So can it be done? Can I put an active EMG 85 in the bridge, put an EMG SA in the middle, and leave the sustaniac in the neck?

Jackson should know if no one here does.
I don't think you could use the same battery to run both, though. Even if you could you'd be eating batteries with them
both running off one.

i dont see why not.i would definitely try to throw another 9volt in the control cavity though(if it would fit).not because it wouldnt work with only one but because you dont want to change batteries everytime you pick the guitar up.i say go for it.i have a dk2s also and would like to hear how the install goes.good luck

Thanks, 'bammer. After XMAS, it's guitar pickup time. I plan on using 2 9 volts. With one, like you said, it would be tough! Can't wait to see how the EMG's sound.....
