  • SLSMG, DKMG - my meaningless opinions

Got to play both today at my local, crappy Guitar Center. The SLSMG is actually cool. The body is slim, but not too slim. It plays well. My only problem is that the price ( remember it's GC ) was $909 which is high as balls. Even at $799 ( Easton Guitars ) I think it's a bit pricey for what it is. The inlays are not MOP, EMGHZs, etc.

The DKMG suprised me. Again, the GC price was a rip-off at $599 ( I think Guitarxpress has them for less than $500 . Even with rusty strings it sounded and played well. Thanks for listening to my meaningless opinions !!!!

You sure the SLSMG inlays aren't MOP? I saw one on the rack at GC and although I didn't play it, I was sure they were the real deal. I know the other MGs are pearloid.

According to the specs on Jackson’s website the inlays on the SLSMG are MOTO.

I don’t think Jackson uses real MOP on any of the Pro, MG or X series guitars.
